If you would like, we can bring your materials to your car so you don't have to walk in the building. This service is available Monday - Friday, 10am-4pm. Simply call us from your car in the parking lot.
The Sterling Public Library is a mobile hotspot with free Wi-Fi. Cardholders may use our on-site internet computers for a maximum of 60 minutes per day.
All copies and printouts are 15 cents per page for black & white and 20 cents per page for color.
Copies can be made at the Adult Circulation Desk. Individuals may send printing requests from our on-site internet computers or from personal computer devices using our Mobile Printing application.
The Sterling Public Library has a self-service scanner to scan documents into a pdf file.

Putnam Museum Passes
The Sterling Public Library has Putnam Museum passes available for checkout to Adult Sterling Library cards. They can be checked out for three days and will cover the general admission to the Putnam Museum in Davenport for up to five people. You must leave a refundable $20 deposit when checking out the pass.
The Sterling Public Library has a Notary Public on staff to notarize documents for $1 per signature. Please call to make an appointment.
If the Sterling Public Library does not have a particular item, an interlibrary loan request form can be completed in an attempt to obtain the item from another location.
Books, CDs and audiobooks may be renewed once for an additional 2 weeks if there are no holds on the item. Renewals may be processed by phone, in person or via our website.
The fine for overdue books and magazines is 15 cents per day. The fine for overdue audio books, CDs and DVDs is $1 per day. There is no grace period. Fines are charged for each day the library is open. The maximum fine for each item is $10 or the price of the item, whichever is lower.
