Library Services

Curbside Service

If you would like, we can bring your materials to your car so you don't have to walk in the building.  This service is available Monday-Tuesday: 9am-7pm, Wednesday- Friday: 9am-4pm, and Saturday: 9am-noon.  Simply call us from your car in the parking lot.

Outdoor Pickup Lockers

If you can't make it to the library when we are open, we can put your material in our outdoor pickup locker located on the Northeast corner of the building (near the large book drop). When you put material on hold, you can select "SPL Smart Lockers" as the pickup location, or just call us to let us know you want your material placed there. You will get a text and an email with the code to retrieve your materials.  Be sure to pick them up within 3 days. This service is available to Sterling Public Library cardholders only.

The Sterling Public Library is a mobile hotspot with free Wi-Fi. Cardholders may also use our on-site internet computers for a maximum of 60 minutes per day.

All copies and printouts are 15 cents per page for black & white and 20 cents per page for color.

Copies can be made at the Adult Circulation Desk. Individuals may send printing requests from our on-site internet computers or from personal computer devices using our Mobile Printing application.

The Sterling Public Library has a self-service scanner to scan documents into a pdf file.

The Sterling Public Library offers lamination services at 20 cents/item for most items.  If the items are especially large, they may cost more. The turnover time will depend on the time of day and staff availability.

The Sterling Public Library does not charge overdue fines on items in our regular collections. If an item is lost or damaged, we will charge the cost of the item plus $1.50 processing fee. If an item is more than 28 days overdue AND we have purchased a replacement item, we will still charge the lost item fee regardless if it is returned.
