Do you want to try a Role Playing Game like Dungeons and Dragons?  Is it something you already enjoy?

Anyone 10 or older is welcome to come join the game!  No experience necessary.

If you can't stay the whole time, you are welcome to come when you can.

The game on the 5th of September will be Sign of The Mountain using OSRIC (Advanced Dungeons & Dragons) rules.

Local Author/ Sterling Reads Kickoff

Susan Chapman Wolff, children's author and Sterling native, will be here on Wednesday, September 11 at 6:30 to talk about writing and her books: Quackers Wants to Fly and Ollie and the Missing Hoos.

Ms. Wolff is an SHS graduate and taught elemetary school in the Chicago suburbs. 

This is also the kickoff for Sterling Reads, but everyone is invited to this event.  Please join us!

 

 The Cheerleading Squad will be here on Sept.11 to read with the kids.

Sterling Reads is a program that offers one-on-one reading mentoring for children. They will be meeting the 2nd and 4th Wednesday evenings this fall.  The reading mentors will be high school students trained for this program.

Author Fair

The third annual Local Author Fair will be Saturday, December 7, 2019 11:00 am.-3:00 pm at the Sterling Public Library.

Authors will feature Young Adult, Children's, Mystery, Horror, Romance, Civil War, and Adult.  Fiction and Non-Fiction.

The game in January will be King Arthur Pendragon. Players take on the role of knights following the chivalric code. It introduces traits and passions that reward players acting as virtuous knights as they compete for glory. King Arthur Pendragon integrates seasonal adventures where players are able to experience running not only a knight, but later, their children in long epic campaigns.
